Tambourine: small plates, open fire and a glass that’s never empty

Small plates at Tambourine, Cape Town

Every now and then someone on the team comes back from dinner and won’t stop talking about it. This time it was Kirstin Twiss, our Production Manager, and the place was Tambourine on Harrington Street in the CBD. We’ll let her tell you about it.

Kirstin’s review

“Such a great spot in a central location, with cute bars nearby for a pre-drink or nightcap.

The food is delicious, with interesting flavours and lovely South African touches. The small plates are perfect for sharing, and I loved that the menu focuses on local, seasonal ingredients, with lots of the cooking done over an open fire. Great wine selection too!

The moody atmosphere makes it feel really special, and the staff are amazing — your glass is never empty.

Definitely one to try if you’re looking for a great dinner in Cape Town.”

Kirstin Twiss, Production Manager

A Juice tip

Make a night of it. Book Tambourine for dinner, grab a drink at one of the bars nearby first, and leave room for a nightcap after. It’s open Tuesday to Saturday from 6pm and it’s cashless, so bring a card. You can book online here.
